LOL Spanking Blog Post — 7 Comments

  1. Nice picture, I will say it here because for some reason my comments get deleted when I leave any at Spanking Blog.

    Happy New Year.

  2. Prefectdt (and anyone else who wonders about this sort of thing), unlike me, Dan has to keep his comment filters fairly tight because he gets a whole lot more comment spam than I do. He’s probably not deleting your comments, they just aren’t getting past his filters. The filters are necessary because of the spam bots that go around leaving comments everywhere they can. You wouldn’t believe the number of spam comments I delete on a regular basis. Bleh! It’s a waste of human time to wade through it sometimes and unluckily real comments get dumped along with the bot comments. One hint; don’t leave real short comments like “Nice post” or “Nice pic” as that is a common spam bot comment opener and when you’re deleting dozens of spam comments a day, it’s hard to tell if it’s a real comment or from a bot. More detailed comments that are topic are more likely to get spotted as a human response. I’ve got you on the approved list which is why your comments get published immediately. 🙂

  3. Prefectdt, I don’t have a memory of ever deleting one of your comments, but Bethie’s exactly right: a comment like “nice picture” is almost impossible for me to see because I get dozens of comments a day that look like that but are linked to various spam farms.

A typical spam moderation session for me involves skim-reading a list of fifty or sixty computer-generated spam comments, looking for at most one or two human-written ones. Human-written sentences have a distinctive visual shape and I’m very good at skimming for them (although I do miss them now and again). But if the sentences are too short (less than about six words) they look just like (have the same visual shape as) a common format of spam comment (which is just several nonsense words).

I always encourage my commenters to write at least one long or two shorter sentences, so I can have some hope of seeing them among the spam. Longer is better — some of the spam robots are getting good at putting together nonsense sentences that look real now.

    Sorry for any inconvenience!

  4. No inconvenience at all, they where not important comments any way, just me trying not to be a lurker (I think one of them was “nice picture”). Thanks for the info I will try and leave a comment on Spanking Blog the next time I have something relevant to say about a post.

I did on two occasions use pictures on my blog that I found in search engines, that I later also found in the archives of Spanking Blog, I was a little worried that Dan may have thought that I had taken these from his blog and not credited Spanking Blog ( I will always link to a blog or site who’s material I have used) and so was worried that Dan may have been a bit miffed at me.

Thanks to both of you for clearing that up for me.

  5. This is a lovely cartoon pic. Why is it that even a cartoon can still seem erotic? Even two lovely animate gals capture my interest or perhaps it just looks like a lot of fun and I want some.

    A great site.

  6. Naw, Pefectdt, that images thing happens all the time. They all come from somewhere, and I don’t assume people took ’em from my blog without credit unless I did some editing, or they used my exact same crop and filename, or something like that.

And, even then, as a blogger you’ll know that sometimes you find and save something, and only later think to blog it — by which time, you don’t remember where you found it. Doesn’t pay to get excited about these things.

  7. Mina, it is surprising when I see some of these anime images and I find them intriguing. Thank you for your comments! 🙂
